I Support Halloween

At today's stop on my book tour, I talk about the most important thing there is to talk about. Halloween.

Since I've been living in the human world, I've noticed that Halloween DOES NOT get the attention it deserves--unlike this Christmas thing, which is just bizarre on so many levels.  I mean, c'mon, He sees you when you're sleeping?  He knows when you're awake?  Yeah, and you think where I come from is creepy.  Psssh.

Anyway, you can check out the full post over at this totally horrible blog: LILI LOST IN A BOOK.

Oh, and don't forget to sign the petition.  You'll understand what I'm talking about once you read what I have to say.

Guest Posts and Stuff

You might've heard that there's this Eve Hallows Blog Tour going on.  Yeah, so far it's been pretty boring.  My biographer likes to go on about the strangest things.  And, seriously, talking about writing is like talking about flower patterns—BORING!

But that all changes today, because three of my guest post thingies are up.  Yay!

So a brilliant blogger asked me how monsters in Gravesville use Ouija boards to communicate with each other.  You can check out my response—along with some annoying interruptions by my biographer—here: FICTICIOUS MUSINGS

And another blogger, also totally horrible, let me talk about my book covers.  If you've been following along on this blog you probably already know I'm upset about them.  Here, I spill all the juicy details:  READING WITH ABC.  Oh, and bonus—there's like this really horrible review of Book of Shrieks.

Finally, I spill the details on how to survive Gravesville.  Of course, my biographer gets all annoying here, too.  (Oh, and I like the name of this blog.  It reminds me of candy!)  SHORT & SWEET.

Talk to you soon!

Tour Schedule

My biographer wanted me to mention a few things, seeing as he's sooo busy.  Probably shopping for Christmas presents or something ridiculous like that.  Doesn't he realize I'm busy, too?

Whatever ...

First off, he told me of this place called Facebook, which sounds sort of strange, if you ask me.  Hm, I wonder if it's like the Nightmare Books?  And whose face is on the book?  Yeah, so he created this fan page--does that mean my biographer's face is the book?  My Jack, I hope not!  Anyway, he wanted me to tell you to like it, so everyone should do that.

And even more horrible, starting Monday, December 10, my biographer and I will be doing a blog tour--which is like a book tour except I don't have to get out of my pajamas.  LOVE IT!

Here's the schedule, but really you only need to worry about MY guest posts, so I've highlighted the one's that feature me.  Besides, I've read some of the one's my biographer did.  Yeah, he's got issues.

Two Totally Horrible Halloween Giveaways

My biographer wanted me to let you know there's these two really horrible giveaways going on this Halloween season.

Yeah for gifts, Halloween, and lots and lots of CANDY!

Okay, so first up there's this place called Goodreads, where I guess people talk about good reads.  Get it?  There's 3 signed copies available. (But you should know it's not MY signature, it's my biographer's—which, I should add, seems selfish to me.  Whatever.)  This one ends October 15th.

Even more horrible is this amazing prize package (which I secretly entered to win myself like ten times.  Yeah, it's that horrible.)

There's like books and something called iTunes and some stickers and I think I even see a few bags of candy there.  But best of all, my face is on everything!  Also, it comes in like this horrible potions box, which is perfect for the amateur Halloween enthusiast in your life.  You can find this one in a place called Word Spelunking, which is very fun to say out loud.  Word Spelunking, Word Spelunking, Word Spelunking.  Oh yeah, this giveaway ends October 20th.

Okay, I've blabbered enough for one day.  Take care!

Book of Shadows Is Out TODAY!

(Eve Hallows Approved Cover)

I am so excited to tell you that my new book EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS is out today.  My biographer gave me a list of places where you can buy it, but ... well, Wolf thought it was a snack, so I don't have the list.  I do remember there was this place called The Noble Amazon or something like that.  Strange name for a bookshop, but whatever.

Anyway, you should all go to The Noble Amazon today and pick up a copy.  Or do that thing where the book magically appears on those little plastic devices.  Hmm ... Sort of reminds me of the Nightmare Books!

Book of Shadows News

My biographer just sent me a shiny new cover and a little description of my new book EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS soon to be in mostly web-ish type book places everywhere!  Or is that book-ish type web places?  Whatever...

Ever since encountering The Source and its minions on Halloween, Eve Hallows has found life surprisingly quiet … not to mention adorably boring!  So when Dad receives a Ouija message that she must return to Gravesville, Eve couldn't be happier—at least until she discovers the Director of URNS, also known as the Grim Reaper, has a special job for Eve … one that will lead her to New York City and to the true identity of The Source.

With The Book of Shrieks offering zero help and a new URNS agent driving the school boys—and Eve!—crazy, Eve's beginning to realize this whole saving-the-world nonsense isn't what it's cracked up to be.

All this and she still has to find The Book of Shadows....

In other news, I start school soon.  Barf!

My parents seem to think that school is important.  I tried to tell them with saving not one but two worlds, not to mention working at Ghoulicious Pizza, not to mention being a famous person (see book cover above) that school really didn't fit into my schedule.  It took like ten minutes for my parents to stop laughing.

Gee, thanks, Mom and Dad.  You're the best!

Happy Friday the 13th

Today's Friday the 13th, and to celebrate, I wrote a little song for you, all by myself. Here it goes ...

Happy Friday the 13th to you. Cha, cha, cha.
Happy Friday the 13th to you. Cha, cha, cha.
Happy Friday the 13th, dear humans.
Happy Friday the 13th to you. Cha, cha, cha.

Best ever, I know.

Book of Shadows Update

So I've been trying to contact my biographer for weeks to see when my new book EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS will be ready, and I've been getting zero response.  Okay, I can't totally blame him; After a week of trying to communicate with him through Ouija board, I realized you humans don't use Ouija boards.  Hmm. Then, I left like two dozen messages for him in something called a voice mailbox (sounds a bit odd to think my voice is trapped somewhere in a box, but whatever).  I figured he might've been killed by some soul-sucking demon back in Gravesville--okay, well, I hoped.  Turned out he's still alive--yay--because I just got this picture in my mail along with a note:

HAVING A GREAT TIME AT THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER.  THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE THIS PICTURE ;)

Okay, the castle is pretty horrible, but doesn't this guy work!  I mean really.

Book of Shadows Stuff

Sorry I haven't been around much.  I've been sooo busy with this whole BOOK OF SHADOWS stuff.  Besides school and working at Ghoulicious Pizza and fighting The Source, now I have to sit with my biographer for like hours a day so he can write down my story.  It's totally adorable!

The good news is we're almost done.

(But secretly I'm still looking for a new biographer.  This guy really is annoying.  And he smells sort of oniony.)

Oh, and don't forget this Friday is Friday the 13th!  In Gravesville, we like to celebrate by spending the day at our favorite graveyard, but I guess that's not for everyone.

Later!

Um, Yeah

So after consulting with Carly Beth, Lucy and Steve--and because I couldn't find any book cover people to complain to--I've decided to let my biographer keep the title of the new book EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS.

In other news, I'm searching for a new biographer and have been working on an ad:

Author Wanted!
Are you interested in exploring the exciting world of me? Do you think I'm the coolest girl ever?  Would you like to see your name below mine? (In much smaller letters, of course.) Well then, this job's for you! No previous experience necessary! Work from home!  Pay yourself whatever you want! Only serious applicants, who understand the importance of a good title, need apply.

So Not Happy Right Now ...

This is ridiculous!  I totally let this guy invade my privacy and write stories about my life, and all I ask for in return is a change to the title of my new book.  I mean really, is that too much to ask for?  Apparently so, because I just saw the finished cover of the new book.

My biographer went with EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS, because he thinks it fits the story better.  You gotta be kidding me!  I am so contacting the people responsible for book titles about this.  Oh, no.  This is far from over Mr. Gray.

Eve Hallows and the Book of Shadows: Cover Wars

My biographer just sent me the almost completed cover for my new book. I think it came out amazing, but I still don't care for the title EVE HALLOWS AND THE BOOK OF SHADOWS, so I sent it back to him with my changes included.

Happy Valentine's Day

Just got this card from a secret admirer back home:

How sweet!

New Review of Book of Shrieks & Another Giveaway

As if my biographer's head needed to get any bigger, he just read me this new review. I'm not sure who Neil Gaiman or Lemony Snicket are, but the reviewer seems to think my biographer is similar. To be honest, though, those other authors have much more horrible sounding names--especially Lemony Snicket.  That's just fun to say. You should try it.

Oh, and my biographer wanted me to mention there's a new book giveaway going on at a place called Blkosiner's Book Blog, which is also a fun name to say.

My New Cover ... Sort of

My artist just gave me a sketch of the next book in my series. Pretty horrible, right? You wouldn't believe all the work that's involved in these covers, though. I had to pose for like EVER!  My back is still killing me! And have you ever had to hold a book for an hour straight? So not pleasant.

And--oh, my Jack--did you see the title? Eve Hallows and the Book of Shadows? Are you kidding me?  I asked for--no!--I demanded Eve Hallows, Coolest Girl Ever. There's a conspiracy against me. I swear. I am so taking this up with my biographer.

Luna-Terrific

Had this view from my bedroom window the other night, and I thought I'd share. Pretty horrible, isn't it?

Oh, and my biographer wanted me to let you know that he's busy writing the next book in my series. Hopefully I'll get to decide the title for the new book, because the last one was boring. Book of Shrieks? Hello! Where's the originality in that? I'm pushing for Eve Hallows, Coolest Girl Ever. Sounds so much better IMO (that means In My Opinion; Carly Beth just taught it to me.)

Reviews and Pizza

So I read a really nice review of Book of Shrieks from Kids 'n' books.  Thank you so much, Ms. 'N Books, for realizing how amazing I am.  I guess I should give some credit to my biographer, too ... er, on second thought, last thing he needs is a bigger ego.  His head can barely fit through a doorway as it is!  Anyway, I'm off to work at Ghoulicious Pizza. Tonight, I get to work with Steve, which means I'll be doing all the work myself.  Oh, well, at least I get all the tips.  Yay.

Hello!

Just wanted to say hi to my new friends.  If I knew you were coming, I would've had my mom bake something for you.  I blame my biographer for this.  He's so unorganized.  I mean really.  Anyway, take a look around.  There's not much to see yet, but I'm redecorating all the time.

Take care
-Eve

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention ... there's a contest going on at I Am A Reader, Not a Writer.  Looks fun!
